Funded Sports Scholarships
Our scholarship programme awards funding up to £1,000 every year to talented athletic students who are on or have been part of a performance pathway.
Scholars are expected to achieve highly in their desired sport but also show a commitment to academic excellence achieving expected target grades in the classroom whilst they build on their sporting success and represent the University.
Applications must be received by October and will be at the discretion of the scholarship panel.

Funding
£250
Criteria
- A University of Huddersfield full-time or part-time undergraduate/postgraduate student, OR a prospective student who has received a conditional/unconditional offer and is commencing study in September 2025.
- Elite Pathway player - evidenced through squad selection in the past 2 years and playing for a competitive club (for overseas applications, the standard must be equivalent to that of the UK).
- County/Regional standard athlete - Eligibility can differ from sport to sport and by UK region

Funding
£1,000
Criteria
- A University of Huddersfield full-time or part-time undergraduate/postgraduate student, OR a prospective student who has received a conditional/unconditional offer and is commencing study in September 2025.
- International senior or age group international.
- National level performer (for overseas applications, the standard must be equivalent to that of the UK).
- Elite Pathway player - 80% court time (for overseas applications, the standard must be equivalent to that of the UK).
